Checking In

June 3rd, 2017 at 12:48 am

I made it to MI with no issues. It was probably the smoothest road trip for me ever. I am pleased with the apartment and the neighborhood. Otherwise, I am sore and exhausted. I will be glad when everything is unpacked and put away. I look forward into settling into a routine.

So happy to hear the trip to MI has no issues. I know the research lists moving as the 4th most stressful of life's challenges. The suggestions offered to smooth out the transition were less demanding than I expected. They suggest keeping a journal to note feelings, goals, externally directed deadlines and new information about products and services that might be useful later. The emphasis was to give yourself a new, different positive, message

    DOCUMENT YOUR PROGRESS

    DEFINE YOUR OWN SUCCESS
“People need to know that success is defined and achieved differently for everyone

    MAKE YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE
When it comes to making better choices, ensuring accountability is a worthwhile investment. Even talking about your goals with friends and setting deadlines or reminders in your calendar can help you stay accountable to lifestyle changes you want to make.

    what do you think?

sorry my computer dropped the 1st section which suggested performing a personal, daily ritual like playing favorite music and singing along.

Paying Attention to Yourself, be mindful of how you feel and the choices that you make.

Most surprising was...divide your time in 30 minute segments, devoting only 30 minutes to a given task. It's suppsed to make you more productive in spite of having to return to incomplete tasks several times in a given day
